For more than four decades, the BMW Motorrad abbreviation “RT” has been synonymous in the world of dynamic touring motorcycles. The bike combines comfort on long journeys with dynamic riding pleasure on country roads. To that end the BMW RT has always sets the benchmark in this class. Now the company has made extensive changes and innovations to the new R 1250 RT. The legendary twin cylinder boxer engine now puts out 136 hp. Thanks to BMW ShiftCam technology for varying valve timing and lift on the intake side, it offers superior power across the entire engine speed range. It also runs extremely smoothly giving outstanding fuel consumption and emission values.

The new bike now has BMW full integral ABS Pro as standard. Other options include a full LED headlamp with turning light and new light functions as ex-works options. Dynamic cruise control will come as standard while active cruise control, an integrated distance control for relaxed touring, will also be available as an option. Even the new TFT screen has integrated map navigation as standard. The new machine is also available with the classy “719’ options fitted for detailing to set it apart from all other machines in its class.
